Daniel Rafinejad taught Persian language and literature at Harvard University before devoting himself to full-time writing and translating. His work has appeared in Evergreen Review, Nowruz Journal, Longreads, The Huffington Post, and Encyclopædia Iranica, as well as in the anthologies My Shadow is My Skin: Writings from the Iranian Diaspora, Essential Voices: Poetry of Iran and its Diaspora, and Pearls of Persia: The Philosophical Poetry of Nasir Khusraw. Daniel lives in New York City, where he's working on a collection of personal essays, tentatively titled In the Liquorice House.
